Southeast Business Consultants Reviews the AMAs

What did y’all think of this week’s American Music Awards!? Our office watched the annual award show together and had a blast predicting winners and enjoying one another’s company!

As most of our coworkers assumed, Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake were the two biggest winners for the event, with Taylor claiming the coveted Artist of the Year spot. Miley Cyrus shocked audiences once again with her bizarre outfits, dance moves and use of an electronic kitten in her ‘Wrecking Ball’ performance. Katy Perry’s show was an office favorite and One Direction also stole a few female employee hearts, too. Collectively, we were swollen with pride when Nashville-duo Florida Georgia Line took home top honors for their blockbuster hit ‘Cruise’, touching a special place in all of our Nashville-loving hearts 🙂

robyn and amanda

Meet: Amanda Dawn Davis (Nicknames: Mandy, AD, MayMay, Manders, Dandy Mandy) – right picture

Hometown: Hendersonville, TN; she’s lived in the Nashville area her whole life. Growing up here was so special for her and she couldn’t imagine moving to live anywhere else 😀

Relationship status: this bossy lady is single! No time for a man when she’s busy climbing the corporate ladder!

Role in Southeast Business Consultants: Amanda is a business management trainee, aiming to open and run her own business and sales consulting firm in the next year. This girl has some big goals and dreams and the drive to make them happen; we are so excited for her future.

Favorite aspect of working with Southeast Business Consultants: Amanda enjoys the people she works with and likes how everyone has become her friend. Our office boasts a collection of fun and motivated individuals with the same goal of success. It is this aspect that makes coming to work motivating and enjoyable for her.

At team nights, Amanda loves trampoline dodge ball, but it just as happy socializing and relaxing at fun happy hours with her coworkers.

Future career and life goals: this driven woman’s future with our company has her being promoted to management in the next 12 months, after which she will begin developing her own team of marketing representatives. She would love to move farther south and take her business to Florida! Her long term goal with our company is to promote out other managers and assist in opening 10 new consulting firms in the next 5 years as a senior national consultant.

In her free time, Amanda likes to be active, hiking and white water rafting when possible, and running Nashville 5K’s at every opportunity. She also loves shopping and her favorite mall is Green Hills, where she also heads to Starbucks for some de-stressing before heading home to spend time with her niece and nephew. This socialite is a family girl at heart!

Amanda’s favorite aspect of living and working in Nashville is that, as a native, she knows where all the cool neighborhoods and places already are! She often assists the office in planning crew nights and takes her coworkers to the best spots around the city.

Favorite food and place to eat it at: a complete Southern girl, she loves mac and cheese and South Street is her favorite place to eat it at!

Favorite color: this Capricorn loves blue.

She doesn’t believe in the accuracy of astrological compatibility but finds the concept interesting. She would never own a cat, or any animal really for that matter. Amanda is not exactly an “animal person”.

Irrational fear: Amanda doesn’t really have any. She is slightly frightened of scary movies, however. She knows they are real but they freak her out just the same! Oddly enough, she would rather be in the scary situation than watch it happen!

robyn and amanda

In her free time, Robyn relaxes by watching movies and listening to live music around Nashville. And, while she is definitely a Southern Belle, she has some country in her roots and she absolutely loves to shoot some guns. Target practice is her best mode of de-stressing.

Favorite aspect of living and working in Nashville: there are so many opportunities for her career! She currently resides in Clarksville, but spends the vast majority of her time in the city for work and for play. Nashville just does it better!

Robyn’s favorite food is teriyaki chicken and you’ll find her chowing down at Shoguns.

Favorite color: greeeeeeeeeen!

She does not believe in the accuracy of astrological compatibility and would never own a cat because she hates them with a passion.

Irrational fear: Robyn typically considers herself fearless, but you’ll occasionally find her refusing to look in mirrors at night for fear of seeing a ghostly reflection beside her. Bloody Mary style.

Cole and Nexxus are up next…..visit back next week for more “Meet the Team”!

nate and erin

Meet: Nathan Eugene Carter (nickname: Nate, Nater, Nater Tot, Nater Tater, The Carter)

Hometown: Albert Lea, MN. Nate relocated to Nashville with his longtime girlfriend after she accepted a position in the area. He gained employment with Southeast Business Consultants soon after his arrival and has loved it ever since.

Role in Southeast Business Consultants: Nate is a team lead in our business managerial department. He is currently working on training simulations and branding sessions for his new client.

Favorite aspect of working with Southeast Business Consultants: a lifelong athlete, Nate understands that you get back what you put out in effort. He enjoys that he is rewarded with compensation and bonuses based on his performance and advancement through the company structure. It provides him with motivation and fuels his desire to succeed!

Like Erin, Nate enjoys playing trampoline dodge ball on team nights with his coworkers.

Future life and career goals: Nate is a born and bred entrepreneur, so he is enjoying his time with Southeast Business Consultants as our company trains and refines his business managerial skills. One day, he plans to open his own sales office!

In his free time: Nate loves anything athletic and active; his favorite activities are hockey and snowboarding (though it may be more difficult to find snowy slopes in mild Nashville over the chill northern Minnesota!).

Favorite aspect of living and working in Nashville: he loves that there is always something to do. He enjoys the sporting events, The Sounds and the Predators being his favorites, with the Titans games close behind.

This foodie doesn’t have just one genre of food he enjoys to eat; from pasta to tacos to sushi, he loves it all! Nashville is the perfect place for awesome food options, for sure.

Favorite color: Nate likes the color white because it’s clean…

He somewhat believes in the accuracy of astrological sign compatibility, but would not ever own a black cat because he’s a dog person through and through!

Irrational fear: that he will fall down a flight of stairs and never be able to be active and walk ever again. Also, he’s afraid of fast food leftovers and believes them to be the source of all disease in North America.

Stay tuned for Amanda and Robyn coming up soon!

Veteran’s Day

Today, Southeast Business Consultants takes a few moments to thank all present and past Veterans who have served and protected America.

vets day

From the Army to the Air Force and the Marines, those brave men and women have fought unimaginable foes to keep our country safe from all foreign and domestic threats. We, as Americans, owe so much to these soldiers who sacrifice their civilian lives to protect us. Their bravery certainly is inspiring!

Southeast Business Consultants Reviews CMA Country Christmas

This past weekend a few lucky employees were bonused for their consistent hard work to our company with amazing tickets to the taping of CMA Country Christmas at Bridgestone Arena. And what a fun and festive treat this was!

The show, which is a pre-recorded event that is set to air on television in early December, featured some of country music’s hottest stars. From Luke Bryan to Sheryl Crow to Trace Adkins and Lady Antebellum, CMA Country Christmas was a delightful night!

Hosted by Sugarland’s female vocal lead Jennifer Nettles, the evening also featured Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale in her country music debut and also a guest appearance by R&B superstar Mary J. Blige. CMA Country Christmas boasted a compilation of the most popular and beloved Christmas songs in all variations. Trace Adkins crooned a powerful Silent Night, while Jake Owen sung a playful Hawaiian holiday tune. Always a crowd favorite, Luke Bryan even sang a duet with Duck Dynasty (who actually has a country Christmas CD of their own being released later this year – ‘Duck the Halls’). Mary J. Blige offered powerhouse vocals in a duet with Jennifer Nettles and Rascal Flatts’ performance had the entire crowd tapping their feet and clapping along.

CMA Country Christmas

With interim performances by a guest magician and SiriusXM’s Storme Warren, the entire evening was a joyous celebration and a fantastic way to prepare for this year’s holiday season and Christmas festivities!

Southeast Business Consultants Reviews Virago!

Southeast Business Consultants stopped by the Nashville sushi and grill hot-spot Virago last night for some late night, pre-CMA Awards after party fun. Virago, located in the up and coming popular downtown neighborhood, The Gulch, is a fantastic place to drink house specialties, eat some amazing sushi or steak, and enjoy the company of some fabulous people.

After the Country Music Association’s awards show ended at Bridgestone Arena, the Southeast Business Consultants headed to Virago around 9:30pm, a late night favorite because of its open kitchen and late hours. And, they were able to accommodate our large party of over 20 attendees, which is always a plus! As we celebrated our assistant manager Sarah’s birthday, Virago was absolutely fantastic for ambience and a cool environment to relax and enjoy.

Always a company favorite, the unique lobster shots made with a creamy tomato bisque and fresh seafood kicked off the party. And, a couple rounds of fire crunch and bomb sushi, mixed in with some delectable steak and seafood options later, the merriment was just beginning.

Virago allows outside presents to be brought in, so a round of wasabi martinis accompanied the birthday girl as she opened the gifts chosen for her by her friends and coworkers. It was an all around lovely evening filled with fun, laughter and enjoyment!

The restaurant of choice turned out to be the perfect venue for our late night soiree. With a fantastic wait staff, delicious food and drinks and a trendy atmosphere that couldn’t be beat, it made for quite the Wednesday to remember. Virago comes with Southeast Business Consultants Reviews HIGHEST recommendation!

Southeast Business Consultants Reviews….Arrington Vineyards

This past weekend, some of the Southeast Business Consultants took a day-cation to Arrington Vineyards in Franklin, TN. And what a beautiful time it was!

chicago marshal

Arrington Vineyards was founded by Brooks and Dunn country duo member Kix Brooks. And, as one of the Nashville music scene’s best wine connoisseurs, Brooks has opened and provided quite an amazing get-away for locals and tourists alike, just a little way from the heart of Music City.

When arriving at the vineyard, a parking attended directs the cars on which gravel lot to park in and then arranges a ride up to the vineyard at the top of a rolling hill. As we rode up on the golf cart, the hillside was speckled with bustling picnic tables, swinging benches and families playing corn hole. Everyone was enjoying the gorgeous weather and, of course, some of the unique local wines! At Arrington Vineyards, the staff encourages visitors to pack a picnic from home and pick up a bottle of wine to drink from their carefully selected fall tastes list.

After choosing a lovely red wine, “Red Fox Red”, the Southeast Business Consultants coworkers made their way to a picnic table to enjoy one another’s company on a lovely fall weekend afternoon. After playing a couple rounds of corn hole, our team members decided to take part in the vineyard’s complimentary wine tasting and were each able to enjoy four different wines. The general favorite was the raspberry dessert wine; and, as it is traditionally served with one of Arrington’s delicious house-made raspberry chocolate truffles, it was the perfect treat to end a wonderful day.

From the flavorful wine options to the expansive picnic area to the generous wine tasting, Arrington Vineyards by Kix Brooks provided an excellent weekend retreat for our hardworking employees. It was a fabulous time to relax, sip a red and enjoy the company of friends!

Southeast Business Consultants Reviews …..Battle for the Bones!

Last night was Halloween and all of our readers in the Nashville and middle Tennessee area know how spooky the weather was. With tornado watches, high winds and the most ominous sky of the fall season, it was definitely a creepy Halloween night. But, that didn’t stop the Southeast Business Consultants from dressing up, assuming a different personality and having a smashing good time together. And, with costumes ranging from SOA biker babes to Mario and Luigi to celeb tattoo artist Kat Von D, the Southeast Business Consultants definitely went out in style!

battle for the bones 2

The venue of choice for this holiday party was Losers Bar in the Midtown area for Battle for the Bones, a charity hosted by the Big 98 radio station supporting charity. With attendees ranging from music industry folk to business professionals to Nashville socialites, the Southeast Business Consultants were in excellent company as they enjoyed the evening with Halloween-inspired appetizers and drinks, an awesome live music selection and a haunted photo booth. Raising money “For The Linds”, a fundraising campaign that raises funds and awareness for Sarcoma, was the cherry on top of one sweet night!

The stellar line up included Gloriana, Jerrod Neimann, Lee Brice, Raging Idiots and Craig Campbell, among others.
